Yesterday at about 3:45 we saw a clapper rail sitting on top of the bank
in front of God and everybody, preening. It was only about twenty feet
from the trail, and it ignored people walking by, biking by, and two
people standing there gawking at it with binoculars.

We came in from the northernmost parking lot (Blake St.?) and walked
past the water treatment buildings and over the first little bridge. We
also passed the first pond. The rail was about 1/4 mile past that, on
the bank on the trail side of the big marsh east of the trail.
