I ran into a Sharp-shinned Hawk at Coyote Hills last
week and took some photos that were obscured in part
by brush. This morning at 9:30, I saw a Sharp-shinned
Hawk at the same location, presumably the same bird.
Again, it was waiting to ambush the flock of sparrows
in the area. So it looks like this may be a frequent
perch for the Sharpie and worth checking out over
    the next few days.

The hawk was in the first clump of trees on the left
along the paved trail the goes from the south end of
the old quarry parking to Dairy Glen and the Bay. The
bird was low in the brush on the side toward the
marsh and away from the trail. Although hidden a
bit by the brush, it can be seen well with binoculars,
but it's harder to get a clear, unobstructed line of
    sight for the camera.
