[EBB Sightings] Hayward Shoreline Longspur

After an hour's search I located the male Lapland
Longspur around 10 a.m about halfway down the landfill
(right side of the channel along the paved path) on
the south slope as he flew out from the weedy area on
top. I was tipped to his presence by a sharp, machine
gun like "chit - chit - chit - chit" as he took flight
for a short distance. He's showing some black on the
crown, a strong chesnut collar & black is beginning to
fill from the breast up into the throat.
