[EBB Sightings] Heather Farms

I had a couple of hours in Walnut Creek this morning, so was able to bird Heather Farms for the first time before the rain.  Around the island of the big pond, a male Ring-necked Duck was in a group of Lesser Scaup, Ruddys, and Buffleheads.  While I was checking him out, one of the DC Cormorants came up out of the water with a big fish in it's mouth and was wrestling with it on the island.  It was kind of comical.  Nice place to bird-a total of 37 spp. in 2 hours.
