    Hi all:

    Some highlights Saturday through Monday:
    Saturday:
Western Screech-owl 1/2 mile north of the county line
    on Mines Rd.
    No Northern Pigmy Owl. ouch
Barn Owl -- Lorraine St. betw. Raymond and Hartford.
    North Livermore.

    Sunday:
Barn Owl -- White Crane Vyds, adjacent to the Cassin's
Kbird location on south Greenville. A box hangs off of
the telephone pole at the west end of their parking
lot. The owl was in the box. fuzzy picture on Flickr.
    No Kingbirds -- ouch.
Prairie Falcon -- Patterson Pass. Brandriffs pulling
up and hopping out with binoculars a-blazing. It was a
    good moment.
Burrowing Owls vocalizing: 2 pair, 30 yards in from
Patterson Pass Rd. on the northeast side of the access
road for the Windfarm company at the 5.3 mile mark...
    more or less.
Golden Eagles / Ferruginous Hawks: I think the count
ended with 4 eagles and 6 FEHA betw the eastern county
line at midway, and the south side of Del Valle
    Reservoir.
Hooded Merganser 1M1F: Shadow Cliffs. What a neat
    place.
    Osprey: "
      " " " "
Northern Saw-whet Owl -- Stream Trail, Redwood Reg.
    Park, 6:45 p.m.

    Monday:
White-throated Swifts and Violet-green Swallows seem
to be back in numbers. Both were seen at Winton Ave
    and Coyote Hills this morning.
Orange-crowned Warbler -- Winton Ave parking lot.
Common Moorhen -- Pond approx. 1/4-mile before the
visitor center parking area at Coyote Hills
