    Hi birders:
    
    The next day, yesterday, Barbara and I went to Sunol as well.  There
    was not much in the way of blue skies and we didn't quite make 39
    species but can add one highlight: in addition to the many Wild
    Turkeys at Geary/Calavaras there was a pair of Hooded Mergansers in
    one of the fenced-in ponds on Calavaras Rd. right before the Geary
    intersection.
    
    The Ferruginous Hawk continues at Fremont Central Park.
