After spending the mid-morning at Arrowhead Marsh looking at the Yellow Rail, the following was seen at the shoreline - 

Greater White-fronted Geese - 2 on the Radio Tower Hills.

Snow Geese - 4 on the Radio Tower Hills.

Ross Geese - 10 on the Radio Tower Hills.

Cackling Geese - 150 on the Radio Tower Hills. Most were 'leucoparia' but a few were 'minima' and some were not identifible. The Aluetian with the neck collar number '16J' was seen.

Common Merganser - 1 male on the city of Hayward Ponds. It is probably the one that Peter saw last week.

Surfbird - 20 at San Leandro Marina.

Lapland Longspur - 1 with Horned Larks in the usual place.
