[EBB Sightings] Mystery Aythya Again (was: Pileated no, Tufted yes)

The photos are marvelous - but I question the ID on the female 
"Ring-necked Duck." Round head, not pointed at the back; brown head with 
no gray on the cheeks; dark around the lores with no white; dull tan eye 
ring, not white. That's our "mystery aythya" - and I'm still plumping 
for female Redhead. It's not certain - the color is off from what Sibley 
shows - but it's the closest match to my eye.

The pix are drop-dead gorgeous - for one of them, a commenter asked if 
the duck was sitting in the photographer's lap, the close-up is that 
close. Please take a look and see (and post) what you think!
