I meant to post this on Sunday evening, but it got away from me. I
went in the late afternoon to try to see the tropical king bird, but
missed it. I did come across a troop of 30 Horned Larks on the slope
of the land fill next to the path that goes along the north side of
the culvert. They were about 2/3's of the way to the shoreline and
about 1/3 the way up the slope. I have only birded there a few times,
but it was the first time I had seen them.

AS you got to the end and turned North and went to the ponds, there
were 6 snow geese mixed in the the Canadians. 2 of the Canadians had
the white band of the Aleutian at the bottom of the throat.
