[EBB Sightings] Pintails at Lake Merritt

Those MVZ photos Joyce cited are from looooong ago!  I can add that Pintails 
were prominent at the lake much more recently than that.  One of the very 
first experiences I had with bird photography took place during the winter 
of 1967-68 when I brought my old Ektachrome-loaded Pentax SLR and a 
Schneider 360mm. lens to Lake Merritt.  I was delighted by the variety and 
tameness of the waterfowl around the visitor area/science center and I was 
able to get frame-filling photos of many species, including some gorgeous 
male Pintails. I still have those slides filed away in my "archives."
