[EBB Sightings] snipe in Livermore

Today I took a lunchtime bike ride to Sycamore Grove & Veterans parks in
south Livermore.  Highlights for we were two WILSON'S SNIPE at the
southern end of the Wente golf course pond next to Arroyo Rd.  I don't
know if they are very noteworthy, but these are the the first snipes I've
seen in Livermore.

This pond is nice as the birds aren't too skittish and the lighting is
usually excellent. I did not do a count of the pond today, but estimated:

Gadwall- 60
Ring-necked Duck - 20
Bufflehead - dozen
American Wigeon - dozen
Mallard - dozen
Ruddy Duck - half-dozen
Great Blue Heron - 1
Great Egret - 1
Pied-billed Grebe - surprisingly, none
