[EBB Sightings] oiled birds

I went out to Emeryville and Berkeley Aquatic Park this morning. The most distressed bird was a Horned Grebe in shallow water next to the shore just south of Powell near the Shell station.  Well covered and constantly preening. Unfortunatly it's impossible to get through to Oiled wildlife care. Then someone later told me they couldn't do anything unless the bird was on land. Near Chevy's there was another oiled Grebe and Ruddys. At Aquatic Park there were a few oiled birds- Buffle, Scaup, RB Gulls. I agree with Rusty it's difficult to tell with the female Scaup and also the Comerants. There may have been well more than what I saw.
