    Hi birders,

Late yesterday afternoon (Sun, 11/25/07) at Shadow Cliffs in Pleasanton,
there was a single SNOW GOOSE feeding among a flock of Canada Geese on the main
    lawn.

Earlier in the day, I birded along the creek at the northern end of the
Springtown district in northeast Livermore. Birds of note were three Wilson's
Snipe, Cinnamon, Green-winged, and BLUE-WINGED TEAL, Say's Phoebe, Loggerhead
Shrike, and two Golden Eagles. In a very leisurely 3+ hours, I had 46 species
    in a very small area.

To get there: Exit I-580 at the Springtown/N. Livermore exit. Go north on
Springtown Blvd, then immediately right on Bluebell. Follow Bluebell until you
reach the Marlon Pound Neighborhood Park on the left. The creek runs along
the south side of the park. I walked west from there, then crossed over
Springtown Blvd. and continued on the paved trail on the south side of the creek
to its end (this is the area where Art Edwards found the wintering Swamp
    Sparrow several years ago).

    Good birding,
    Kathy Robertson
