[EBB Sightings] Cackling geese

This afternoon at Lake del Valle I had a 6 Picidae walk seeing No. Flicker,
Nuttails, Hairy, Downy, Acorn Woodpecker and Red-breasted Sapsucker. Also
the resident flock of Canada Geese contains 5 Aleutian Cackling Geese with
four showing the white ring at the base of the neck, these birds appear
about 1/2 the size of the residents. I saw three Phainopepla near the
Caballo Loco maintenance yard. The sewage ponds held No. Shoveler, 4 Lesser
Yellowlegs and 5 Greater Yellowlegs.

Friday at Coyote Hills RP I saw very small Cackling goose that appeared to
just slightly larger than a Mallard.
