Coyote Hills Regional Park is White-tailed Kite City
right now! Other raptors up: male & female northern
harriers, adult & immature red-tailed hawks (one adult
is very dark). One big immature RTHA likes to sit atop
the rocks along a foot trail like King of the
Mountain. Not much water in the park right now - the
wetlands are dry. Gadwalls in a little channel right
after the entrance kiosk, but the rest of the ducks
were in ponds close to the Alameda Creek Trail, as
viewed from the Chochenyo Trail: pintails, ruddies,
    shovelers, green-winged teal, Am. wigeon.

The best birding was from the first big parking lot on
your left as you enter the park. Western bluebirds,
    yellow-rumped warblers, white- and golden-crowned
sparrows, ruby-crowned kinglet. I was surprised to
    find a BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER
