[EBB Sightings] Ruff at SFBNWR in Fremont/Newark

Hi Birders-

I went back for my third attempt at the Stilt Sandpiper seen along 
Marshlands Rd. It wasn't there today either. However, at about 12:30 pm 
there was a Ruff in the long narrow pond that is adjacent to the gate. After 
a while it flew over to the next pond, revealing the white U on the 
uppertail coverts. I came back about 30 minutes later and it was back in the 
long pond and again flew to the other pond. Earlier I stopped at Mt 
Trashmore, the landfill at the west end of Winton Ave in Hayward, to look 
for longspurs. There weren't any that I saw. But there were three Aleutian 
Cackling Geese.
