    Hi E. B. Birders,

This morning, while leading a field trip for my Albany
Adult School Birding by Ear class, I spotted an
empidonax flycatcher that appeared to be a Willow
Flycatcher. Lack of distinct eye-ring, short primary
extention, brownish, indistinct wing bars, whitish
throat, broad flat bill, as far as I could see, mostly
orangish below, actively tail flicking. The only
thing that bothers me, is that it seems a bit late for
    a Willow.

    The bird did not vocalize.

This was on the hillside to the west of the Tilden
Nature Area sign at the northwest end of the parking
lot. The bird was actively flycatching, and working
the inner area of the tall elderberry bush here.
