    Thank you to Joe Devine for his post about William Cann Park in Union City - a nice find!  Mid-day today, I found a small flock of cedar waxwings at the top of a tree near the green terminal box - until two scrub jays chased them off.  The waxwings flew towards the Alameda Creek Trail. A pair of marvelous young Cooper's hawks engaged in a mad chase through the trees, displaying their aerial acrobatics. I lost sight of one of them, but the other ended up perched and calling at the top of a pine near the children's playground that has all the beige equipment in it (the one with the big "William Cann Neighborhood Park" sign). I found an interesting (meaning: I didn't know what it was) warbler in the trees by the creek just over the chain-link fence near Alameda Creek Trail (where all the garbage is in the creek). From the brief glimpse it allowed me, I detected a pale gray head, a faint eye line, and a pale yellow breast and belly. Might have been an orange-crowned...
