This morning, Vern Bothwell and I found a Townsend's Solitaire in Santa Clara County, at the small pond about two miles east of San Antonio Junction, which is where Mines Road, Mt. Hamilton Road and Del Puerto Canyon Road meet. It was perched in a dead tree about 20 feet from the road, at a spot where most of the pond was visable.
