At the Berkeley Pier between 11:15 and 1:00 today: the
3 common loons are still hanging around the pier, as
are several Clark's grebes and eared grebes and, of
course, a whole lotta western gulls. New arrivals:
lots of surf scoters scattered over the bay. On the
old pier: hundreds of dunlin with black-bellied
plovers sprinkled among them, sanderlings, but only a
couple of Forster's terns...and no parasitic jaeger.
The brant with the unusual plumage was in the bay on
the south side of the entrance road, as were a small
    group of American wigeon.
