I went down to the Hayward Shoreline at the end of West Winton Ave. after
the rain had stopped around 12:30. Lots of birds were moving around. In the
trees around the parking lot there were about a dozen Yellow Warblers, my
FOS Yellow-rumped Warbler, a Wilson's Warbler. a single Western Tanager,
Pac.-S. Flycatcher, Warbling Vireo, and my FOS Fox Sparrow. Along the trail
on the north side of Mt. Trashmore were more Yellow Warblers, 2
    Orange-crowned Warblers, 4 Common Yellowthroats, a Western Wood-Pewee, a
Willow Flycatcher, 3 Lincoln's Sparrows, my FOS Golden-c. Sparrow, many
White-c. Sparrows and a Brewer's Sparrow (Probably the same one found by Bob
Richmond the day before). At Hayward Landing I had a Pacific Golden-Plover
fly in and land at the shoreline near to me. There also were Black (3) and
Ruddy (1) Turnstones there. And a Clark's Grebe. I walked the paved path on
the north side of the channel back to Winton Ave. On the metal pipes that
lets the water under the road stood a Spotted Sandpiper and overhead was a
    flock of 25+ Vaux's Swifts.
