[EBB Sightings] Ruddy Ducks Return to Lake Merritt

I saw my first flotilla of the year there, cruising among the coots and 
pied-billed grebes this afternoon, when I went out to check on things 
for next Wednesday's GGAS trip. Autumn is almost here - but no one seems 
to have told the double-crested cormorant that was still firmly 
squatting in a nest....
