Today (8/13), we found a Sage Sparrow during a hike up and around 
Wildcat Peak in Tilden.  Just after crossing over into Wildcat Canyon 
Park around 11am, I spotted the bird on the Nimitz Way side of the gate 
on the Conlon Trail, located on park maps between Wildcat Peak and hill 
"1152".  The bird flushed before any children could see it, but when we 
returned from finding 1 or 2 Grasshopper Sparrows on the flanks of 1152, 
I refound the Sage Sparrow, and everyone had decent looks at it.  This 
is a first for me in the Bay Area outside of Mt Diablo.
