Reported by Ron Thorn from San Mateo on the Penninsula
    Birding List:

Early this morning, as I was scanning the bay from the
observation deck next to the Coyote Point Museum, I
noticed peeps in a panic flight over the bay pursued
by a juvenile Peregrine Falcon. Most likely,
there would be fewer peeps after the assault by the
    Peregrine Falcon.

I did find one flock on the mudflat made up of
mostly juvenile Western and Least Sandpipers. Foraging
on the edge of the group was a juvenile BAIRD'S
SANDPIPER. The Baird's Sandpiper was seen on and off
over the one-hour I was present. The
Baird's Sandpiper is the first ever, I have noted at
    Coyote Point.
