Yesterday, Sunday 4/22 about 5:30PM I had Lawrence's Goldfinches near the
Caballo Loco maintenance yard. I had 4 near the east fence line and 3 on a
Cottonwood tree on the north side of the paved road leading to the
maintenance yard. You cannot drive to the maintenance yard but it's a short
walk from the bridge. I counted 5 Western Kingbirds fly catching from the
fence along the road between the entry kiosk and the bridge.

Also of note I startled a Osprey which dropped a 2 lb carp on the path
directly in front of me. Very strange to be walking on a trail and come upon
    a flopping fish.

The lake is filling up and the carp are very active in the shallows. I saw
two Osprey fishing above the shallows.
