At least two Grasshopper Sparrows were well seen in Wildcat Canyon RP
this afternoon, one singing, the second just chipping rather quietly. I
heard or flushed two or three others(?), but I can't be sure they
weren't the same ones I saw well. It was nice (and somewhat surprising)
to see these birds perched up in the wind. And earlier, too, than I
    usually go looking for them.

The area I saw the birds was 200-300 yards up the unnamed trail that
climbs north from the Wildcat Creek Trail just west of the foot of the
Rifle Range Road Trail, eventually hitting the Mezue Trail.
