[EBB Sightings] Hayward Shoreline

The following was seen at the shoreline in the last few days.


Cackling Goose - 2 of the sub-species minima, seen on the Radio Tower Hills.

Cedar Waxwing - 12 seen on 4/4 at Winton Ave. I have seen then during the spring of 16 
   of the last 25 years. They were seen earlier in only 3 of those years, they were also 
   seen earlier in March of this year at Grant Ave.

Chestnut-backed Chickadee - 1 at Winton Ave. was a bird that fledged recently, but may or 
   may not have fledged here. I have 10 records from March-May, and 6 of then are from this 
   year.

Lincoln's Sparrow - 1 at Winton Ave. I have only seen them 14 times in April and 1 time in 
   May. The last time that I saw one later in spring was April 1999.

Great-tailed Grackle - 2-6 mostly seen from the west end of Depot Road. Today 1 was seen 
   at Winton Ave.
