    All,

Yesterday, I led my Palo Alto Adult School birding class to Sunol
Regional Wilderness, followed by Calaveras Reservoir and Ed Levin
Park. The Calaveras and Ed Levin reports are posted on SBB.

Among the class FOS species at Sunol Regional Wilderness, we
encountered WESTERN TANAGER in the picnic area, NASHVILLE WARBLER
above the visitors center, CHIPPING SPARROW about 30 yards south of
the footbridge across the creek, many LAWRENCE'S GOLDFINCHES
encountered in various places, and ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER near the
famous RNSapsucker oak tree. There was also a very surprising
appearance from a GREEN HERON perched high in a sycamore by the
    parking lot.
