    James:

Actually Pittsburg and Antioch are two well-know Contra Costa Counties.
Therefore, I am including East Bay Birds listserv
    (http://www.diabloaudubon.com/mailman2/listinfo/sightings) which covers both
Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Sorry, North Bay Birds recipients, you
received the original email in error and will have to turn your RADAR about
80 miles east to north-eastern Contra Costa County. This may in fact be a
    first for Contra Costa County?

    >From the Northern California BirdBox transcript:

    Contra Costa Co.
    ----------------
On Apr 26, while driving to a training exercise in Antioch/Pittsburg at the
sewage treatment plant off 10th Street, while on 10th, an alternate plumaged
REDDISH EGRET flew over the road into the Dow Wetlands area.
The Dow Wetlands is right at the border of Antioch and Pittsburg.
