[EBB Sightings] Cliff Swallows

This morning just before 10:30, Cliff Swallows were seen flying over the
concrete channel of Walnut Creek south of Treat Boulevard.  The Contra Costa
Canal Bike Trail crosses the creek just north of the Seven Hills School.
The swallows have had a colony under this bridge for many years.  On my
morning bike ride today, I saw the Cliff Swallows here for the first time
this year.

The Barn Swallows have their colony under the footbridge over the Contra
Costa Canal.  This bridge is the north entrance to Heather Farm Park, and is
maybe a quarter of a mile east of the Cliff Swallow colony's location.  I
first saw these swallows on Monday of this week, as noted in an earlier
message.
