    INteresting this is so early; likewise, the thought that the orange
    butterflies recently seen by Kay L. were thought to most likely be Painted
    Lady, which normally show up en masse around Easter, so this too is early -
    potents of what? Since I thought the barn swallows came from parts north of
    here ? Help  me on this Hugh; Painted Ladies definitely come up from the
    south, though, or else I'd say we're in for a warmer season if the plants
    down south are already drying out. Does this make sense sort of ? We're
    still waiting for Kay to look again for confirmation on which butterflies
    she saw; so this is a little premature of me to conjecture, I guess
