Okay, okay, I know Yellow-rumped Warblers aren't considered an
irruptive species; however, we've had nearly twenty hanging around
our artificial pond for the last few days. Prior to this year, I
don't ever remember seeing one here before (I'm not one for keeping
records). I've spotted at least two Myrtle and four Audubon's males
in full or near breeding plumage, as well as a multitude of females
and other males in various stages. Are the Myrtles unusual for here
(Sibley shows them here, but I've not seem them in the area before)?

    Happy Spring Birding,
