Kay Loughman and I found the "White" Hummer today, first seen by Mary
McCanta, without any problem in the area and time as described by her near
the Emerville UA theatre. It sat for us nicely in a bare tree as we observed
it's rufous undertail and mottled body. It's most definatly a leucistic
selasphorous hummer. If it hangs out for the summer we can guess that it's
an Allens. Kay remembers a post about a leucistic hummer a couple of years
ago, near the Watergate Apartments in E-Ville and wonders if it's the same
    bird.
