Thursday morning, after the first rainy night, I found about 30, possibly
more, Mew Gulls mixed in with the Ring-billed Gulls on the lawns at Heather
Farm Park in Walnut Creek.  This seems like an unusual number, probably
attributable to the weather.  We had several hundred during the Christmas
Count at the Contra Costa Sanitary plant in Pacheco.
