    Hi EBBers,
    
    I took a look at the Rockridge Shopping Center mini-reservoir this morning 
    and found six water birds:  Double-crested Cormorant, Canada Goose, 
    Bufflehead, Mallard, American Coot, and Pied-billed Grebe.  Also present in 
    the deciduous tree at the waterfall end of the reservoir was a Red-tailed 
    Hawk.
    
    I observed these birds from the top of the cliff to the east of the 
    reservoir.  You gain access by parking at the entrance to the nearby 
    Catholic cemetery and walking up hill to the chain link fence that borders 
    the cliff.  From this vantage point I also noticed a Killdeer roosting on 
    the gravel roof of the Long's Drug Store.
