Late this afternoon Eugenia Larson and I stopped at the small fenced marsh
at Dalton and Ames. No parking is allowed along this corner, so we parked
at the residential street off Ames and walked back. A very beautiful male
Blue-winged Teal flew out of the northern body of water and landed slightly
to the south on the other side of the cattails, where we watched it swimming
beyond some Black-necked Stilts. Dalton is to the west of Vasco Road about
a mile north of I-580, and is technically across the street from Livermore
    City Limits.
