    Hello all,
We all know now that we are seeing the biggest Varied thrush irruption in
many years. I would love to take advantage of this opportunity to get a good
photo of one of these gorgeous birds. Even where abundantly present,
however, they tend to be furtive and not nearly as bold as their robin
cousins. So I ask: has anyone experienced a situation where you thought,
"Boy, if I had a camera right now I could get a terrific photo of this
bird." I am wondering if perhaps there are locales where the birds appear to
be less shy, more comfortable out along a forest edge, etc.

I don't want to harass the thrushes, of course, just hide out in my car or
behind a bush and capture a few images. Thanks for any suggestions.
