    Given the Census it seems to me that the invasive Spartina grass has resulted in a population boom of Clappers and other marsh-dwelling species.  As I recall, last year's census of Clappers was between 60 and 70 compared to the 110 of the last week. 
    
    I wonder what will happen when the plans for eradication of the grasses are implemented.
    
    Audubon has been silent on this ironic conflict between an invasive plant and an endanged species.
