This morning (Mon, Dec 18), a VARIED THRUSH was foraging with our (large) 
winter flock of robins at San Pablo Bay Regional Shoreline in Pinole.

I realize that Varied Thrushes are not uncommon in Contra Costa county at 
this time of the year, but I have never seen one at this location (or 
anywhere this close to the Bay) before, so it seemed unusual.
