While on a bike ride yesterday, along the Oakland Zoo exit road, I
encountered a flock (covey? group? gang? what's a flock of turkeys called?)
of  31 Wild Turkeys.  To think not long ago they were a rare sighting around
here.  Then when I got home I saw a tan-stripe phase White-throated Sparrow
at my feeder.
