Today, the Golden Gate Audubon trip had good looks at a Tufted Duck.
This is a male, and the tuft is fully developed, as illustrated in the
    field guides.

The bird was with scaup at the north end of the lake, near the Rotary
Nature Center, Perkins & Bellevue. Walk east 40-50 yards, the bird was
east of the first (closest) island in the open area in front of the
next islands. Look carefully amongst the scaup (mostly lesser). Also
note the Ring-necked Duck (male) in this mix.

The Pelagic Cormorant remains. No one has seen the Barrow's Goldeneye
    x Hooded Merganser today.
