Hi, birders (with apologies for cross-posting):

The Oakland Christmas Bird Count puts two boats onto the bay to
complement its shore-bound observers. However, this year the long-time
skipper of our "South Boat" is unable to participate, so we seek
another boat to help out on Sunday, December 17. Can you provide a
boat, or point me toward someone you think might be able to provide
one? If so, please call (510-704-9353) or email me.

Details: a shallow-draft boat (powered or under sail) that can carry
four birders would be ideal. If she's berthed in Alameda, Oakland, or
elsewhere nearby, so much the better. The area it would cover is south
of Yerba Buena Island, west of Alameda and down towards Bay Farm
Island. In the past, the boat has birded from 8 am until early
afternoon, but the time can be adjusted to fit the day's tides. We'll
provide charts and birders, but we need help to identify a boat, and a
    skipper willing to drive her.

Thanks in advance for any leads you can provide.
