[EBB Sightings] First white-crowned sparrow

I just heard from Dennis  we're supposed to get a cold spell next week, and
it might even  snow? Maybe all these early birds, including the warblers
,plus certain trees that seem they're going into a fall/winter condition
somewhat early, might be  an indication?

in my south-central berkeley backyard... and had a bit of a dust up with a
pair of brown towhees.  This year's return is about two weeks earlier than
the past three years.
