    It's a whole lot isolated in the middle of the afternoon too, at least 
    on Labor Day. Next time - boots, and a friend more interested in birds 
    and less interested in keeping his feet dry....
    
    But the part of the shore we could see was shoulder to shoulder Caspian 
    Terns, with hordes of peeps and Willets and Godwits, a couple of Black 
    Oystercatchers, and some Long-Billed Curlews too. What a great place! 
    And the sense of being in a place almost no one ever realizes is there 
    is almost intoxicating.
