Today, 8/7, from 4-5 pm I saw about 30 species of birds at McNabney marsh; the wetland on east side of hwy 680 just before one crosses the Benicia bridge. Highlights for me were: Peregrine Falcon(chasing shorebirds), Avocets, Black-crowned Night Heron(adult and juvenile), White pelican, Common Moorhen(adult & juvenile),Great-tailed grackle(many), Semipalmated Plover,Caspian Tern, and Red-necked Phalaropes.
