[EBB Sightings] Barn Owls Rock

Last night's Journey concert at the Concord Pavilion brought an  
unexpected birding bonanza:
As the first power chord hit, a lone barn owl flapped out of the  
rafters and flew due west.

Later, as "Wheel in the Sky" played, another barn owl flew over us,  
possibly to meet his evicted cohort in the trees nearby.

A Great Horned Owl effigy planted in the Pavilion's rafters didn't  
seem to be deterring its smaller cousins very well: it was stained  
with droppings.
