Seen on the EBMUD trail, from Inspiration Point, Tilden Park

Wild Turkeys - Two adults and three immature
Lawrence's Goldfinch - a small group of about a dozen
    American Goldfinch - numerous
    Western Bluebird
    Rufous-Sided Towhee

Great Horned Owl - I came around a bend in the trail, walking slowly and
quietly, and caught sight of this owl sitting on a low branch of one of the
live oak which overhang this trail. We contemplated each other for about 15 min
from a distance of less than 50 feet, me with 10 power binoculars and the
owl with its even sharper vision. I continued very slowly along the trail,
leaving this magnificent bird in its solitude. What a day!
