    Hi Rita,

I am responding on behalf of Ralph Pericoli, since he has been having
problems with his email connectivity. Ralph along with Alan Fish have been
running the the Cooper's Hawk Intensive Nest Survey (CHINS) over the last
few years. They along with a number of us other volunteers have been
monitoring Cooper's Hawk nests in the Berkeley area over the last several
years. Ralph would like to inform you of the status of the nest that you are
interested in. It is, in fact, active and has a few chicks by now. A tree(s)
previously used in this area was removed. I have been monitoring a nest in
Berkeley that is probably a bit ahead of your nest, so you will probably
    soon be seeing fledglings.

If you contact Ralph at: ralph_chins at yahoo.com, he will try to contact you
about this nest. If this isn't successful, contact me and I can serve as
    relay.

    Regards,
    Tony Brake
