    Yesterday(May 3rd) at 5:30 P.M., I saw a flock of 300 to 400
Red-necked Phalaropes in the large pond south of the parking lot at
the end of Winton Ave. in Hayward. You have to climb a large hill
south of the parking lot to view the pond. A scope is useful to see
these birds in the distance. --Ted--
