[EBB Sightings] Mt. Diablo

All- I got a mid-mornng start up Mitchell canyon. Birding was good, slow and 
the required a lot of work but the results were worth it.
MacGillivary Warblers-2, 
Western tanagers-2, 
Solitary vireo,
Hammonds flycatchers - few (John thought he saw a Dusky)
Rufous Hummer, Allen, Anna, but no Calliopes, maybe due to poor year for sage 
flowering.
Cassin's finches, male and female in oak near parking lot-crisply marked 
female was key. 
Purple Finch, 5 species of woodpecker, Golden eagles, Hermit thurshes and fox 
sparows, all in all about 50 species.
